Obama defends life. Really??

According to the White House blog, here is an excerpt from President Obama's remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast this past Wednesday in Washington DC.....

"There is no doubt that the very nature of faith means that some of our beliefs will never be the same. We read from different texts. We follow different edicts. We subscribe to different accounts of how we came to be here and where we’re going next – and some subscribe to no faith at all. But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate. There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know." (I added the emphasis on the last 2 sentences.)

Really Mr President? Those are very kind words. I'm impressed. But I have a question. Is there any human life more innocent than that of an unborn baby living in its mother’s womb?

The current President of the United States, Mr. Obama, fought for laws that banned anyone including nurses and doctors from helping a child that survives a botched abortion. His comment was that saving the life of a child from a botched abortion goes against the tenants of Roe v Wade as the intent of the mother was to get rid of the child. During other interviews he has clearly stated his support of abortion in all circumstances, late term, early term, partial birth, induced labor abortion, etc. etc.

The simple truth is the current administration not only believes in abortion but also believes in infanticide.

Just ask a nurse in Chicago who upon coming on duty one day heard a child wimpering and went to investigate. She found this child in the trash can with other hospital garbage. She could not get help for the baby directly due to then Senator Obama's law so she found a room and hid herself and the baby and rocked the baby in her arms until it passed away. She would not leave the baby to die alone, abandoned, in a pile of garbage in a trash can. She testified before Congress of other instances where labor was induced for an abortion and the mother had the baby. Again, in this instance the baby was left to die alone, only on a table in a closet. This time the baby lived for about eight hours before dieing alone on a cold metal table in the dark. Even the most liberal members of Congress opposed these kind of abortions after this nurse's testimony, but not the current President.

What kind of person promotes infanticide?

How can the greatest nation on earth allow "legal" infanticide to go on within its borders?

In the first few days of the current administration it overturned a ban on using federal funds for abortions for women in other countries. Now the US is exporting abortion to other countries and imposing this abomination on other countries.

Does the government have the right to dictate life and death and play God?

Doctors and nurses take a hippocratic oath to uphold and preserve life. Should the government interfere with the basic tenants of their jobs and the very lives they are to save?

I don't know why any of us are surprised about his views on abortion and infanticide. He talks a good talk when he needs to but he was very clear while he was in the Illinois Legislature and the US Senate with regard to his views. We pray for him daily as a family that he will come to his senses. I don't hold out much hope but I do know that with God, all things are possible.
